We are hosting a free community diabetes screening camp open to all Tamil Canadians. No appointment needed — walk in between 9am and 2pm.
Free Community Diabetes Screening — January 25th
Dr. Kavitha Sivarajah Family Clinic is hosting a free diabetes screening camp on Saturday, January 25th, from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Walk-ins welcome — no appointment needed.
What Is Included — Completely Free
- Fasting blood glucose test
- HbA1c test (3-month blood sugar average)
- Blood pressure measurement
- BMI calculation and healthy weight guidance
- One-on-one consultation with a physician or nurse practitioner
- Take-home information kit on diabetes prevention in Tamil and English
Who Should Attend?
This screening is especially recommended for Tamil Canadians aged 35 and over, or anyone who has a family history of diabetes, has been told their blood sugar is "borderline", or has not had a blood sugar check in the past year.
Please fast for at least 8 hours before attending for the most accurate blood glucose reading. Tamil-speaking staff will be available throughout the day.
