Scarborough Tamil Community Centre Expansion Complete
A $2.4 million expansion adds a 400-seat auditorium, three new classrooms, and a commercial kitchen.
After two years of construction, the Scarborough Tamil Community Centre has completed a $2.4 million expansion funded through community donations, federal grants, and a City of Toronto capital contribution. The expanded facility now includes a 400-seat auditorium, three multipurpose classrooms, a fully equipped commercial kitchen, and accessible washrooms on every floor.
The centre serves as the hub for over 30 Tamil cultural, educational, and social organisations operating in eastern Toronto. Bookings for the new auditorium are open from April 2026 onwards.
