Study Permit to Permanent Residence: Pathways for Tamil International Students
Canada is one of the world's most welcoming countries for international students seeking a path to permanent residence. After completing a full-time program of at least 8 months at a designated learning institution, most graduates are eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), allowing them to work in Canada for up to 3 years.
After gaining Canadian work experience on a PGWP, most graduates qualify for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) under Express Entry — typically the fastest pathway to PR. Graduates of two-year or longer programs who receive a job offer in a skilled occupation can often reach the CRS score needed for an ITA within 12–18 months of graduation.
